Who Are We?

The Victory Free Will Baptist Church is an evangelical church located in Kansas City, MO. We are a small but caring fellowship of Christian believers that understands and defines our reason for existence in light of two key Biblical passages:

In light of the “Great Commandment”

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Matthew 22.36-40 NIV

And in light of the "Great Commission"

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

On the basis of these two key Biblical passages we have adopted the following single sentence as a summary of our purpose as a church:

We Believe A Great Commitment To The Great Commission And The Great Commandment Will Grow A Great Church!

Therefore we believe our church exists to...

1. Celebrate God's Presence (worship)

2. Demonstrate God's Love(ministry)

3. Communicate God's Word(evangelism)

4. Incorporate God's Family(fellowship)

5. Educate God's People(discipleship)
